My commitment to conservative values is deeply rooted in every aspect of my service. I firmly believe in the principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, and upholding the rights and freedoms that are foundational to our nation. My approach prioritizes individual liberty, free enterprise, and a strong respect for the rule of law, reflecting the core values that have long guided our community and country.

Fiscal Responsibility and Low Taxes
I believe in responsible fiscal management and have a proven track record of cutting taxes on the New Castle Town Council and Craig County Board of Supervisors. I voted against the 2024 real estate tax rate increase and also voted to cut the merchants capital tax rate in half. My goal is to continue this approach, ensuring that our community enjoys efficient services without being burdened by excessive taxation.

Protecting Private Property Rights
Property rights are fundamental to a free society. I am committed to upholding these rights, ensuring that property owners in Craig County have the freedom and security to use and enjoy their property without unnecessary government interference.

Support for Law Enforcement and Public Safety
The safety and well-being of every resident is a top priority, and my commitment to law enforcement and public safety is unwavering. I firmly believe that a well-supported and well-resourced Sheriff’s Department is essential to maintaining peace, order, and safety. I will continue to advocate for our volunteer fire departments and rescue squad. During my first year on the Board of Supervisors, I voted to fund the emergency radio upgrade project which will allow our emergency services to communicate more reliably while running calls.

Government Transparency
Transparency in government builds trust and ensures accountability. I am committed to open, honest county government and will work to make enhancements such as live streaming county meetings and recording minutes during closed session. After every Board of Supervisors meeting I post how I voted on every resolution and a summary of the meeting to the Labiosa for Supervisor Facebook Page.

Infrastructure and Broadband Access
Investing in our local water and sewer infrastructure is crucial for our community’s health and environmental wellness. As Chairman of the Craig – New Castle PSA I will continue to work towards making necessary improvements and maintaining our existing infrastructure. In today’s connected world, access to reliable broadband is essential. I am dedicated to expanding broadband access throughout Craig County and have served as a member of the Craig County Broadband Committee.

Defending the Second Amendment
The right to keep and bear arms is not only a cornerstone of our American heritage but also a vital part of our way of life here in rural Virginia. I firmly stand with our community in upholding and protecting this constitutional right and spoke publicly in favor of our Second Amendment Sanctuary resolution. I am a longstanding member of the VCDL and NRA and was endorsed by the VCDL when I ran for office. During my first year on the Board of Supervisors, I successfully led the charge to eliminate Craig County’s firearms ordinance which banned the use of firearms in residential zones.
